There have been 88,357 cases and 3,000 deaths reported WORLD WIDE. As the virus spreads around the world, people are worried and wonder if they should cancel their upcoming trips.

Do you have a trip coming up? Here is what you should know:

Should you cancel your travel plans? Unfortunately, there is no easy answer. What you should consider is… when and where you are traveling, and what is your current health condition. You should definitely check news updates and travel alerts, but avoid making hasty decisions.  Make sure you are not basing your decision on Headlines.  Read the full information.  Remember Headlines are created to make you click.  Many times, the content of an article is contrary to the headlines to get you to click.

When is your trip?

If your vacation is more than a month away, waiting to cancel may be a good move. The virus is fluid and changing every day. Things may be different in 30 days. You can always change the date for a later time. Although there may be small cancellation penalties, talking to your travel agent for assistance. No matter when or where you are traveling, one thing should always be a constant.  Basic hygiene is the best means of prevention for any illness. Wash your hands with soap and water several times a day, especially before eating. Avoid touching your face or putting your hands in your mouth and avoid setting your purse, backpack or suitcase on your pillows.   As always advised…talk to your doctor over any health concerns.
